Rub your face in it

http://www.classicreader.com/book/188/1/

I read this story once, called David Swan (link given above) in which 3 alternative fates pass by a guy who was sleeping on the roadside. And of course he didn't miss them; how could he? We can't miss what we've never known. But the fact is, we do miss out on a lot, everyday, whether we know it or not.
It's just a matter of being alert at the right moment, and we've got it made. Otherwise, hello ordinary life! (I know, I know, you can protest all you like, saying "oh, i'm happy with my life" or "there's nothing missing in my life" or "i'm living the life i've always wanted to live", but truth is that your life is not half as awesome as Emma Watson's or Miley Cyrus's. So just  face it!) Yes, you are ordinary, even though your parents might say that you are extraordinary. If you were, you would've been on the lookout for that crucial moment that would've changed your life, and would be too busy to read this crap.
Hence, do as Prof. Moody says, "Constant vigilance!", and you yet might make it.

  1. A very interesting read. True and false at the same time.
